A friend of mine was upset today because she felt that every time things start to go her way something happens that leaves her feeling helpless, lonely, dejected and abused. I’ve suggested that she work on her boundaries but today something she said really opened me to understand what she really needed on a deeper level. She needed to hear this:
“Tell a different story. Get excited about all of the things that will go right in your future.”
The Law of Attraction will bring you what you focus on.
Are you focusing on all the ways that people have flaked out on you or left you hanging when you needed them the most? Well my love, that is exactly what you will continue to get. How about you try to focus on the amazing new friends that you want in your life. Really get creative. Imagine how fun it will be to connect on many levels. Imagine how open and willing they will be to helping you when you’re down on your luck. Picture them keeping every appointment with you. How are you feeling after that little exercise?
Let’s try work. Are you always focused on the ways that your job leaves you feeling drained, used, abused, lifeless, and angry? Are you constantly complaining about your boss or your co-workers? You’re going to continue to get what you focus on. I can guarantee you that you will continue to feel those same feelings day in and day out if you keep that attitude up. Try this instead:
“My co-workers may be acting out from their ego and not their true loving self. And besides, how they act is their own decision. From now on I’m not going to take it personally. I see myself moving through my work day with ease. Now that I’m not internalizing everyone else’s problems I can interact with them from a true place of freedom. We’re all human anyway. I happen to actually love John’s smile and Sandra is very smart. My team is comprised of really great people. Maybe they’re feeling as tired or hurt or angry as I am. And maybe this isn’t the job I’m meant to have, but it doesn’t have to be forever. I can start making the changes I need to for myself in order to get out.”
Say what you need to say to put a smile on your face as you’re thinking about it. That’s all you need to know to start manifesting the new path that you wish you were on. And while you’re at, stop focusing on the fact that you’re NOT on the path of your dreams. Focus on how cool it will feel when you realize that you are right where you need to be.
Today’s Meditaiton: “Breathing in I am willing and open to creating a life of joy for myself. Breathing out I release my old story. Breathing in I am happy and positive, breathing out I release negativity.”
Do this for as long as feels comfortable to you. All you need is two minutes to shift your point of attraction and if you do this meditation daily change will manifest itself for you in amazing ways. Open to the love and joy you seek.
